My advice to fellow content creators can be kind of boring. I say that because often when we ask others for advice, what we are really looking for is a shortcut. We want the easy button that will help us get from where we are to where we want to be. And for the most part, that doesn’t exist.
It’s simple…not easy.
The answer is almost always, “Just do it again tomorrow.”
This advice is boring. It’s not sexy. And for the most part, when giving it to people, their faces tell me it’s not what they wanted to hear. They are in a rut and are not sure anyone cares about their content. And I say “Keep working to improve. Look for ways to make sure you are serving the audience. Then, just do it again tomorrow.”
If you want to grow your audience, increase your sales, build a business, or get in better shape, there will be times when you are frustrated. You will look around and wonder if anything is working or if anyone cares. If you haven’t experienced that yet…it’s coming. That is not only okay, but it’s also natural.
But in those times, while you look to the heavens for answers, just know that the answer is right in front of you.
Do the work again today.
Then do it again tomorrow.
