“I don’t feel like it.”
That is the mantra of the person that is not living up to their potential. “Feeling like it,” has very little to do with it. If you committed to getting in shape, starting a business, making more sales, or writing a blog, there will be times that you don’t feel like it. It’s inevitable. Not every day is perfect. There will be times when you are tired, frustrated, or unmotivated.
But you decided to do this. You made a promise to yourself.
And there is nothing you can do to help your self-esteem more than keeping promises to yourself. When you keep promises to yourself you prove that you are trustworthy. You are also sending a message to yourself that you are worth it.
Oh…and it has the added benefit of moving you toward your goals.
So today, it doesn’t matter if you “feel like it.” You made a promise to yourself.
Now get to work keeping it.
P.S. This blog was written to me today. I did not “feel like” writing.
